Summary:
In 1949 rural Kentucky, a pair of song-collecting sisters come to a crossroads when one decides to leave the work and pursue a domestic life, while the other finds herself unable to let go of a certain song she's been forbidden to record. A celebration of folk music and folklorists, and the unsettling intersection between preservation and cultural imperialism.
